Phlebotomy is the science of drawing blood. To become a Phlebotomy Technician or a Phlebotomist, as they are often called, one must acquire special training and meet specific requirements. The requirements will vary by state.

FAKS Allied Health Education Center was established in October 1997. The School offers CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) state approved through the Georgia Medical Foundation. The Non public post secondary education commission also authorizes the school to conduct the following programs, Basic and A+ Computer, Medical Coding & Billing, Patient Care, Phlebotomy and Retail Pharmacy Technician.
A certified nursing assistant job is a great entry point for a nursing career. You'll be deeply involved in patient-care, making sure that sick and injured patients have their basic needs met. And you can complete your certified nursing assistant training in a very short period of time.
Classroom instruction in a certified nursing assistant program generally includes basic nursing skills, anatomy and physiology, nutrition and infection control. Students also gain plenty of hands-on-experience during clinical activities.
Certified nursing assistants (CNAs), also known as nurses aides, orderlies, patient care technicians, and home health aides, work under the supervision of a nurse and provide assistance to patients with daily living tasks.
Working closely with patients, CNAs are responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming and feeding patients, assisting nurses with medical equipment, and checking patient vital signs. CNAs give patients important social and emotional support and also provide vital information on patient conditions to nurses.
Classes are 41/2 - 61/2 weeks long. Weekday, Weeknights and Weekend classes are available.
